MID-MINNESOTA SELF-DEFENSE, Inc. - A Minnesota based self-defense handgun instruction and training company for the serious minded shooter. Today, there are a great many classes for firearms students seeking the minimum qualifications to obtain a permit to carry a carry a handgun in Minnesota. However, very few of these classes offer training by instructors with significant levels of experience in understanding and presenting all facets of these responsibilities. Qualifications of our lead instructor and President, Jim Fleming:
• Minnesota criminal defense attorney with 28 years of experience in defending the accused.
  He is one of a very select few firearms instructors available in Minnesota who has represented
  citizens in legal actions following a self-defense encounter.
• Former law enforcement officer and investigator.
• Self-defense firearms instructor with over 20 of teaching experience.
• Graduate of some of the top firearm self-defense schools in the country.
• Certified as a firearms instructor by the following:
   The NRA, the State of Utah, and Minnesota BCA approved "Personal Protection" Instructor
• Is also approved to provide yearly qualification instruction for retired law enforcement officers
  under the provisions of the federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act. 
• Serves on the Board of Advisors of the national Armed Citizens Legal Defense 
  Network with other nationally known firearm self-defense experts. He also serves as the 
  Director of Legal Curriculum Development for that organization in its efforts to train attorneys 
  to effectively represent innocent citizens who are subject to criminal prosecution or civil  
  lawsuits in the aftermath of a self-defense encounter.
• Jim Fleming has also had numerous articles on self-defense topics published in national 
  magazines, such as Concealed Carry, the ACLDN Journal, and publishes a blogsite entitled 
  Studies on the American Second Amendment.

Our team of instructors, working with Jim, have the years of experience and teaching skills to provide a broad base of instruction to meet the varying needs of students from beginning shooters to those with much higher levels of skill and experience. Every instructor has gone through years of extensive and rigorous personal training to prepare them to present our gun classes for self-defense and are dedicated to sharing their knowledge with our students.
