A multitude of options exist for firearms students seeking the minimum qualifications to obtain a permit to carry a carry a handgun in Minnesota.  However, as we have advised students for many years, these classes are intended to be nothing more than a starting point in their training in the use of firearms in life-threatening encounters.  Over the years students attending these introductory courses have returned, complaining that they have had tremendous difficulty in locating training resources for advanced skills training without expensive travel to other areas of the country.  After considering the matter for a significant period of time, we decided that it was time to do something to correct that problem.  Mid-Minnesota Self Defense, Inc. was established for the purpose of providing advanced firearms training for civilian shooters and law enforcement personnel seeking to acquire the knowledge and techniques necessary to improve their self-defense firearms skills.



Our team of instructors have the experience and teaching skills to provide a broad base of instruction to meet the varying needs of students from beginning shooters to those with much higher levels of skill and experience.  Every instructor has gone through years of extensive and rigorous personal training to prepare them to present our classes and share their knowledge with our students.
